About Riika Magnus

Born in and still a resident of Portland, Oregon, I archived an Associates of Arts in Multimedia & Web Design from The Art Institute of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada in 2005. I began creating websites over 20 years ago when I first taught myself HTML and all the tricks of the web. I have been using Adobe Photoshop for over 18 years and have a background in Black & White Photography, both traditional and digital. In 1998, while I was still attending high school, I was chosen to attend a prestigious summer art program at Oregon State University called Jumpstart!, where I studied Traditional and Digital Photography. After that I continued to be involved with Photography by shooting for the school yearbook and newspaper (where I was also a reporter) until I finished high school in 1999.

In 2013 I was asked to become Director of Operations for one of my clients, running the daily operations of a children’s toy company. This company used CS-Cart as their means of selling their product so I gained a lot of first-person experience using the platform as all of my clients had been. While in this position I also learned about selling products on Amazon, Toys ‘R Us, Wayfair, Target, Zulily and other sales channels, as well as how to setup and maintain an EDI connection between all sales channels. I gained experience about managing and integrating sales channels at a 3PL warehouse that was over 2,300 miles away to fulfill orders and manage inventory. I sourced and worked with overseas factories to produce product and make sure it passed all US, UK and Canadian safety requirements for the toy industry. In 2017 I left this position to return to what I love most – designing beautiful, functional websites for my clients and supporting them so they can grow their business to their greatest potential through my company Silver-Logic Web & Print Services.

Since 2007 I have worked for numerous local companies, focusing on Website Design, HTML/CSS coding and cross-browser compatibility. I have completed numerous freelance projects ranging from design to coding to consulting and I look forward to hearing from you about your next project!

Waterfront Blues Festival

I was asked to completely redesign the user interface of The Waterfront Blue Festival website (owned and operated by The Oregon Food Bank) as well as design the look and functionality of the Scheduling and Artists sections of the website. After prototyping all aspects of the website redesign, the Scheduling and Artist development was completed by […]

Brestrogen

RDK Global, an FDA approved pharmaceutical company, needed product packaging for a brand new product they were launching that included a logo, cardboard box and a label. The client had no preconceived design so I conceptualized all the product branding including the logo.
